We had newborn photos taken of Miles a couple weeks ago (he was 3 weeks old at the time).  The photographer set up at our house and took photos of Miles in our living room and his nursery.  The photos turned out GREAT - some really good shots of the little guy.  Here are a few highlights plus a link to the full album at the bottom of the page.
Hope you enjoyed them.  Here's the full album.

Miles is three weeks old today.  Here are a couple pics from the past week.
Taking care of a newborn baby is hard work and it takes a dedicated level of patience and understanding to provide the care they need (something I'm finding out the hard way at times).  The little guy is always hungry, needs a diaper change, or is just plain tired.  Melanie deserves some special recognition during this HUGE first for us.  You would never know that she's getting almost no sleep - she's as calm, patient, and loving as ever (and is still as beautiful as the day I met her!).  Miles and I are truly lucky to have such an amazing woman in our lives.

Here's a vid of Melanie playing with Miles...  about 30 seconds in, he smiles!!!  Also near the end is the biggest, most epic yet anti-climactic, almost-sneeze ever!!

And a great video of Miles sitting up (and spitting up) :)

Here are some random photos of Miles from the last couple days.  Most of the pics are of him sleeping since, frankly, he sleeps a lot.

He really loves looking at himself in his mirror.  This morning he just stared for a good 15 minutes.

He's also a big fan of the low-brow, inquisitive stare.  The little guy has lots of emotion in his brow and forehead.  We'll have to get a picture of his forehead wrinkles sometime.

The pacifier has become a big hit lately.  On occasion, he'll find his hand and suck on the knuckle of his index finger or back of his hand, however, he's still learning how to work his arms, so we often have to find his hand for him.

The above pictures show the peaceful Miles.  However, we've been getting a lot this Miles lately.....  The kid is hungry ALL the time!

...and post-feeding.  Much better :)

Here's a pic for Aunt Tiffany :)
